Recommendations and Refer

After we consulted with you, we may ask you some investigations with your doctor. As an acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, we don’t have any access to ask you do certain medical tests. Therefore, for confirming your conditions, we may ask you to see your doctor to get some blood tests, X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound scan, ECG, etc.

I have a case with my patient. When I checked his pulse, his pulse is not regular and missing beats. He said he didn’t feel anything, but he felt tired. With taking his history, he had a family history of heart attack. Then I asked him to see his doctor to check his heart. Eventually, he saw his doctor for his heart. His doctor referred a specialist for him. Then his specialist asked him he need a pace maker. After day surgery, he had a pace maker for his heart. He felt much better with less tiredness. And his pulse is regular.

We may help you, but there is no guarantee.

We can’t guarantee the result of your treatment as all medical treatments couldn’t guarantee. However, we may help you. Please be patient. Some patients are coming to the clinic earlier, so they may get good results quickly. However, most of patients are coming to the clinic when their conditions are chronic. Therefore, it looks like a tangled thread ball.

How can you untangle a thread ball? There is no choice. You have to untangle one by one.

Those chronic patients are asking dramatic results such as magic cure. There is no magic cure. You need to be patient. We are approaching your problems as a way to untangle thread ball with step by step. We are always asking what is number one priority to solve it out. That area is number one issue you need to clear it up. After that, you might be feeling other areas more uncomfortable than number one priority area. Then we treat that area. And so on.

Drought makes a lake no water with cracked soil.

When weather is very dry, and then soil is getting cracked. In this case, one rain is coming, but it is not enough to wet the soil. When we are digging the ground, it is still dry under 1 cm below the surface. Its meaning is the soil is still dry. After more rain is coming, the soil is getting wet and plants are getting grower to get nutrients.

Same principle can be applied to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine treatments. Acupuncture is not one big surgery to get it done. It is kind of building blocks to make a house.

Building bricks can be building a house. A brick is not house; however, it can be building a house with bricks.

One treatment is not building your health; however, a bunch of treatments may be building your health.

4. Recommendations

Your practitioner will be recommend certain items such as exercise, diets, foods, actions you may be required etc. They may be quite important things you may be needed to follow to help you quick recoveries.

Before Your Treatment

We encourage you to wear loose, comfortable clothing.

Some patients may be sensitive to the acupuncture needles. It may be coming from your tiredness such as decrease of your blood sugar level, too much activities before acupuncture session, and skip your meals before acupuncture session.

Recommendation before acupuncture session:

  • Do not skip your meal.
  • Do not have too much activities.
  • If you have an experience of the sensitivity of acupuncture needles, please have some meal or snack before your session.

During Your Treatment

Acupuncture needles are extremely fine and most people feel little to no discomfort.

You may experience a warm, heavy, or relaxing sensation as the treatment begins to work. Many patients fall asleep during their session.
Your treatment room is quiet, warm, and private. We encourage you to wear loose, comfortable clothing.

Some patients may have an experience of acupuncture and/or dry needling from general practitioners, physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath. If you have those experiences, you’ll have similar feeling from acupuncture needling.

However, even if you don’t have any experience of acupuncture, it is still okay. Your practitioner will be explaining the acupuncture and needling gently.

After your practitioner finished the acupuncture needling, your practitioner will ask you to be relaxed and stayed with around 20 minutes which will be varied, depending upon your conditions.

After Your Treatment

After 20 minutes, your practitioner will take the acupuncture needles off with checking any bleeding. Usually, there is no bleeding on the acupuncture needling areas. However, sometimes there is small bleeding happened with removal of needles. At that time, your practitioner will make to stop bleeding with cotton balls, and then you’ll be okay.

And sometimes you’ll have some bruise on the acupuncture needling areas after acupuncture treatments. Because, even if your practitioner will try to avoid the blood vessels with care, sometimes the acupuncture needles may touch the small blood vessels which is very hard to avoid.

However, those bruise will be going away with times going on. And usually your practitioner will not acupuncture those bruise areas until it was disappeared.

Most people leave feeling relaxed, calm, grounded, and more balanced. Some may feel a temporary increase in symptoms before improvement — this is normal and usually settles quickly.

After treatment, some patients are feeling the relief of his or her symptoms immediately for a while such as few hours or few days. And then you might be feeling your pains or symptoms back again at the same areas or different areas.

The reason why your pains or symptoms are back is you have lots of problem such as inflammation, scar tissues(degeneration, calcification) there.

From clinical experiences, if you follow the recommendations your practitioner asked you, those patients are responding well with good progress.

You’ll receive:

  • Your practitioner may explain your conditions & you may be understanding your conditions
  • Most of patients are being asked for their own conditions. Your practitioner will be explained to you about your problems. You might be able to get some profiles about your problems
  • Simple self‑care advice

  • A suggested and tailored treatment schedule based on your goals

From my personal experiences, reported me by my patients

My lots of patients reported me that after the proper treatments, they didn’t feel any pain from those area they were treated even if the time was passed during several years. And then usually, they came back with other problem.
